|$0 My Goal: $2,500.00|
I will be riding for my fellow Wittenberg classmate, Erika Rich. At the age of 25, Erika has received a diagnosis of Stage 4 breast cancer, specifically HER2-Positive metastatic breast cancer. She just finished her last round of chemo and has built a strong treatment team.
At a recent fundraiser for Erika's treatment, surrounded by 150 of her family and friends, Erika's positivity and strength lit up the room. Her and I shared a moment of appreciating the community around us; the one that Erika built. Even though some of us hadn’t seen each other (or Erika) in months, even years, Erika was quick to recognize that what mattered was that we got to be together and join forces in her treatment. Thank you, Erika, for being a beacon of light and carrying yourself with such positivity. We can do this.
This year, I am particularly proud to be part of the Pelotonia community to help in a unified fight against diagnoses like Erika's by supporting valuable, innovative cancer research & treatments at The James. As Erika & pals like to say “Don’t let the bartards get you down!”
