In June of 2002 my grandfather, whom I adored, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He lived only a short time after his diagnosis. The loss of my grandfather was just the first of many friends and loved ones that I would come to know in my life who would battle cancer.
Inspired by a former Denison University student who rode across the US to raise money for cancer research I am excited to be participating in this great cause.
Founded in 2008, Pelotonia is a grassroots movement with One Goal End Cancer. Focused on a community of passionate fundraisers and centered around a three-day experience of cycling, entertainment, and volunteerism, Pelotonia has raised over $130 million for cancer research. Last year, 7,749 Riders from 40 states and 9 countries participated along with 2,616 Virtual Riders and 2,794 Volunteers. Please join me in supporting this cause, where 100% of your donation will go directly towards life-saving cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
