I've been fortunate enough to not be as affected by cancer as many others, but that has changed with the loss of my uncle to liver and bone cancer this month. Thankfully, through the generosity of L Brands, I've gotten the chance to participate and ride in Pelotonia this year. While riding won't necessarily fund the research needed to cure or prevent cancer, the money raised and donated certainly will. 100% of the money raised throughout this campaign goes to research to fight and prevent cancer. With participation on even the smallest of scales, WE can help support the preventative research and healthcare for generations to come.
Founded in 2008, Pelotonia was established with the objective to fund life-saving cancer research. Pelotonia is a three-day experience that inclues a weekend of cycling, entertainment and volunteerism. Through it's first eight rides, Pelotonia raised more than $130 million for cancer research. Thanks to it's generous funding partners, Huntington Bank, L Brands Foundation, Peggy and Richard Santulli, American Electric Power Foundation, Nationwide Insurance, Cardinal Health Foundation, Harold C. Schott Foundation, Pelotonia is able to direct 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar to cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
