My Mom lost her battle with cancer in 1974 - hard to believe she's been gone 46 years.  I am involved in Pelotonia because that cruel disease from so long ago, is still with us.......but the advances in treatment/cure and understanding are so amazing!  Cancer is no longer what it was then: every treatment, every discovery helps bring this disease to a manageable place - and hopefully closer to it's end.  Through Pelotonia I am able to learn about so many advances - and working with Pelotonia makes me feel that what I do here REALLY matters and makes a difference.  Thanks for that.
