Everyone on our Peloton has a reason they are riding/virtual riding/volunteering. Some just want to join the fight against cancer...for others it's personal:
- I'm riding for my parents who are no longer with us because of cancer...for my brother who had melonoma, and for my friend who is currently at the James Cancer Center getting treatment.
- I'm riding for my grandmother, Corinne (who i'm named after, she was a 3-time cancer survivor but lost the battle the 4th time), for my dad who is a cancer survivor and in remission, and for one of my good friends from high school who is currently battling!
- I'm riding for my mom who was given a 6 month diagnosis just after we told her she was getting a grand daughter. She only made it 5 months. Her grandaughter was born 30 days later.
- I wanted to volunteer because my mother had cancer when I was young and one of the most impactful things for me and my family were the individuals from our community that came together and gave their time for us. Whether it was cooking a meal, keeping my mom company while she was home sick during the day, or making sure we had what we need. I want to be that person there to support our Peloton team and all those who are making an impact in raising these lifesaving funds. Even though I don't have a bike I still wanted to be a part of something that lends so much care and support to those and their families fighting cancer.
We are all here for One Goal. Beat Cancer.

Focused on a community of passionate fundraisers and centered around a three-day experience of cycling, entertainment, and volunteerism, the Pelotonia community has raised more than $158 million for high-risk, high-reward cancer research. Last year, 8,022 Riders from 39 states and 7 countries participated along with 3,576 Virtual Riders and 3,044 Volunteers. Please join me in supporting this cause, where 100% of your donation will go directly towards cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
